Elderly Man Pulls Paralyzed Wife 300km in Cart for Treatment

A 75-year-old man in Odisha, Babu Lohar, undertook a remarkable 300-kilometer journey by cart to get medical treatment for his 70-year-old wife, Jyoti Lohar, who is paralyzed. Facing financial hardship and unable to afford ambulance services, Lohar transported his wife on a hand-pulled cart from Sambalpur to Cuttack's SCB Medical College for advanced treatment. The arduous journey involved navigating highways and rural roads, enduring heat and cold. Along the way, they received assistance from kind strangers who offered food, water, and financial aid. After his wife received treatment and began to recover, they faced another setback when their cart was hit by an unknown vehicle near Chaudwar on their return journey. Despite his wife sustaining injuries, Lohar again placed her on the cart and continued their journey home to Sambalpur, demonstrating immense love and dedication.
