A Class 10 student, Om Prakash Dwivedi, died from electrocution while lowering the national flag at a private coaching center in Jagatsinghpur, Odisha. The tragic incident occurred on Monday, following Republic Day celebrations, when the iron pole used to lower the flag came into contact with an 11 KV high-tension electricity line. Police have detained the coaching center owner and launched an investigation into potential negligence and the failure to adhere to safety protocols during the event.
