Family Forced to Transport Body on Motorized Cart After Hospital Refusal in Faridabad

A major controversy has erupted in Faridabad after a family was reportedly forced to transport the body of a deceased woman on a motorized cart for approximately 10-12 kilometers. The family alleges that the hospital administration failed to provide any assistance or vehicle for transporting the body. The 35-year-old woman, Anuradha Devi, who was suffering from tuberculosis, passed away at Badshah Khan Civil Hospital. Her husband claims that after her death, his requests for an ambulance or hearse were denied, and private vehicle drivers quoted unaffordable fares. The incident came to light after a video of the family transporting the body on the cart went viral, prompting the hospital administration to order an investigation. Hospital officials stated that government ambulances are not used for transporting bodies and that hearse services are available through Red Cross upon formal request. Red Cross officials deny receiving any such request for this case. A committee of senior doctors has been formed to investigate the matter.
