Delhi-NCR Sees Drizzle, Cold Increase Amidst Poor Air Quality, Train Delays
Light rainfall has brought a dip in temperature across Delhi-NCR, but the air quality remains in the 'very poor' category with an AQI of 324 recorded on Sunday morning. The India Meteorological Department predicts a potential rise of 3-5 degrees Celsius in northwestern regions. Several areas, including Bahadurgarh and Gurugram, are likely to experience light to moderate showers with thunder and lightning. Hailstorms are also possible in some localities, with heavy rain and lightning anticipated in Rohtak and parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan, accompanied by winds of 30-40 km/h. The unseasonal weather patterns are expected to impact winter crops. Meanwhile, dense fog has disrupted rail services, causing significant delays for numerous mail and express trains, including the Rajdhani Express and Duronto Express, with some trains running hours behind schedule.
