ASHA Workers Protest in Kolkata Demanding Increased Allowance
ASHA (Accredited Social Health Activist) workers are continuing their protests in Kolkata, demanding an increase in their monthly allowance from the current ₹5,000 to ₹15,000. Workers from various districts of West Bengal attempted to reach Swasthya Bhawan, the health department headquarters, but were intercepted by police, who also detained several individuals.
