West Bengal Minister, TMC IT Chief Receive Electoral Roll Notices, Allege Hasty Process

West Bengal Minister Shashi Panja and TMC IT Cell in-charge Debangshu Bhattacharya have both received notices under the Special Intensive Revision of Electoral Roll (SIR) process, despite claiming they submitted all necessary documents. Panja stated that her name was present in the 2002 electoral roll and she had submitted all required documents for the current revision, yet her entry is shown as invalid. She criticized the SIR process as being rushed and unprepared, arguing it causes inconvenience to many residents. Bhattacharya echoed similar concerns, alleging that he and his family members received notices despite their details being correct and their names appearing in the 2002 list. He further accused the BJP of using AI-based technology to monitor social media activity and selectively target political opponents.
