Security Concerns Postpone Deepti Tripathi's BJP Induction

Deepti Tripathi, wife of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) Chairman Manoj Tripathi, had her planned induction into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) postponed due to intelligence inputs about a potential threat to her life from extremist or criminal elements. Tripathi arrived at the Haryana BJP office with approximately 1,000 supporters, but the event was called off by the administration and party leadership, citing the large crowd and insufficient security arrangements. Haryana BJP confirmed the postponement due to security reasons, stating a new date would be announced after reassessment by security agencies. Tripathi met with the Haryana Chief Minister but did not participate in the formal joining ceremony, and security at her residence has been increased. Her political entry is considered significant given her husband's position as chairman of BBMB, a key central government statutory body managing water and power for several North Indian states. Deepti Tripathi stated her commitment to public service through politics and expressed her intent to formally join the BJP soon, regretting any political controversy surrounding her planned induction.
