Man Dies by Suicide After Alleging Harassment by Wife and Mother-in-Law in Bihar

A man in Samastipur, Bihar, has died by suicide after allegedly facing harassment from his wife and mother-in-law. Before his death, the man recorded a video appealing to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for justice and claiming a demand of 25 lakh rupees. The widely shared video on social media details allegations of mental torture and false cases filed by his in-laws. The deceased, identified as Vishwajit, stated he had been suffering from depression for five years and was being pressured for money, leading him to take his life. His family reported that he was found unconscious on the roadside after visiting his in-laws and later passed away in a private hospital. Police are investigating the matter and have initiated an FIR based on the family's statement, promising legal action against the accused after the investigation.
