Lucknow Gears Up for Grand Republic Day Celebration Featuring 'Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat' Theme

Lucknow is set to host an extensive Republic Day celebration this year, blending Uttar Pradesh's cultural diversity with presentations from nine other Indian states under the 'Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat' theme. Over 200 artists from states including Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Bihar will participate. The event will also feature cultural performances by school students, NCC cadets, and contingents from armed and paramilitary forces. Various government departments will showcase the state's development through tableaux. The city's key buildings will be adorned with tricolor lights, and a helicopter shower of petals will mark the occasion. Local artists and students will also present performances promoting national unity. The parade will include contingents from various forces and organizations, with a motorcycle stunt display by the Thunderbolt team as a highlight. The Republic Day eve also saw the announcement of Padma Awards, with several personalities from Uttar Pradesh being honored for their contributions.
