IAS Officer Accused of Property Grabbing and Harassment by Mother
A Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer, Abhay Singh, is facing serious allegations from his mother, Rekha Singh, who accuses him of property grabbing, assault, and mental harassment. The appointment department has sought a response from the officer following his mother's complaint. Singh, however, has denied the accusations, attributing them to his brother's alleged 'brainwashing'. His mother claims that Singh and his wife forcibly occupied her house in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, on January 1st, engaging in verbal abuse, physical assault, and threats, and also damaged CCTV cameras. She further alleged that she felt unsafe and had to lock herself in a room, eventually leaving her home due to the harassment. She stated that she possesses message, audio, and video evidence to support her claims. The complaint has been forwarded to the appointment department, which has requested Singh's side of the story. Singh, a 2007 batch officer, has been involved in controversies before, including a CBI raid at his residence when he was DM of Bulandshahr. Singh and his wife have refuted all allegations, stating that his mother has been influenced by his younger brother and his wife. He claims he visited Chittorgarh with the police on January 1st and had already filed an FIR in the matter. He confirmed receiving the notice from the appointment department and will present his defense.
