Deepti Tripathi's BJP Joining Postponed Amid Security Threat Concerns

Deepti Tripathi's scheduled induction into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been postponed due to intelligence inputs indicating a potential threat to her life. Tripathi, wife of Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) Chairman Manoj Tripathi, had arrived at the Haryana BJP office with approximately 1,000 supporters for the formal joining ceremony. However, considering the large gathering and insufficient security arrangements, the party leadership and administration decided to defer the programme immediately. Haryana BJP confirmed the postponement citing security reasons and stated that a new date would be announced following a fresh assessment by security agencies. Although Tripathi met the Haryana Chief Minister, she did not participate in the official event. Her entry into politics is considered significant due to her husband's prominent position in a central government statutory body managing water and power projects. Tripathi, who has a background in social work, expressed her intent to serve people through a political platform.
