The hostel management stated they operate with comprehensive CCTV surveillance, exclusively female staff, and strict entry restrictions for men, allowing family visits only at the reception after prior notification. For essential repairs by male technicians, a female warden always supervises. Management claims no security complaints in five years, monitoring all movements and exterior activities through live CCTV feeds accessible remotely. While students acknowledge a general fear stemming from incidents like the one in Patna and rising concerns nationwide, they expressed feeling secure and supported in the Darbhanga hostel, attributing it to the caring staff and home-like environment.
