Brother Exposes Tax Officer's Alleged Fake Disability Certificate, Faces Threats

Dr. Vishwajit Singh, brother of Ayodhya GST Deputy Commissioner Prashant Kumar Singh, is reportedly receiving threats after exposing alleged fraud involving a fake disability certificate. The complaint has led to an investigation into both Prashant Kumar Singh and their sister, Jaya Singh, a Tehsildar in Kushinagar, who also faces scrutiny for allegedly obtaining similar fraudulent documents. Dr. Singh claims his siblings obtained disability certificates from the same doctor in different years, which he alleges are fake and were used to gain government service benefits. He states his siblings have cut off contact since the complaint was filed. The investigation began in October 2025 after a complaint to the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities. Dr. Singh asserts he will not back down, stating it is his moral duty to ensure the rights of genuine disabled individuals are not compromised. Prashant Kumar Singh, who reportedly secured his position through a disability quota, is now under investigation, with allegations that he may be attempting to resign to halt the inquiry and avoid recovery of benefits.
