Ayodhya Deputy Commissioner Faces Probe for Alleged Fake Disability Certificate

Ayodhya's Deputy Commissioner, Prashant Kumar Singh, who recently resigned citing a dispute involving comments against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is now under investigation for allegedly obtaining his government job using a fake disability certificate. The allegations were made by his elder brother, Dr. Vishwajeet Singh, who claims the certificate was obtained through fraudulent means. Singh had reportedly sought a BJP ticket from Mau district in 2022 while working as an Assistant Commissioner in the GST department. Despite not receiving the ticket, he continued his service and was later promoted. The current investigation, which includes an administrative probe and a medical board's report, will determine the validity of his claims. Singh's resignation, where he praised Chief Minister Adityanath, is now being viewed with suspicion, with his brother alleging it was a tactic to evade scrutiny.
