Bihar: Illegal Firecracker Factory Blast Kills One, Injures Three

An explosion at an unlicensed firecracker manufacturing unit in Siwan district of Bihar has resulted in the death of one individual and severe injuries to three family members. The incident occurred in the Husainganj block, specifically in Bargaon village, where 50-year-old Murtaza Ansari was reportedly making firecrackers in his home. The blast was powerful enough to be heard throughout the village and caused partial damage to the house. Local residents expressed fear and demanded strict action from authorities. Police have stated that Ansari had prior arrests for illegal firecracker production. An investigation is underway to determine the source of the explosive materials and intensify efforts against illegal production and storage of firecrackers in the district. The incident happened approximately 5 km away from the Chief Minister's program location in Husainganj.
