An elderly cancer patient was narrowly saved from a potentially fatal accident at Kalyan Railway Station by the swift action of an RPF Head Constable. The 60-year-old passenger, identified as Rajendra Shukla from Jhansi, slipped and became trapped between the moving Rajdhani Express train and the platform while trying to disembark after returning to retrieve his luggage. RPF Head Constable Sharad Gharte, on duty at the time, demonstrated bravery by quickly pulling the passenger to safety, averting a tragedy. The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred on Platform 4-5. Mr. Gharte's courageous act has earned him praise from RPF officials, and he is set to be honored with a cash reward and a commendation.
