Flight Attendant Among Victims in Baramati Plane Crash
A plane crash in Baramati resulted in the deaths of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and flight attendant Pinki Mali. Mali, originally from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, had been working on chartered flights for five years. Her family, who reside in Mumbai, last spoke with her on Tuesday, when she informed them she was traveling with Ajit Pawar to Baramati before heading to Nanded. Mali's father, a former Air India employee and political figure, had encouraged her to pursue a career in aviation after she left modeling. This was her fourth flight with Ajit Pawar. Her death has cast a pall of grief over her ancestral village and in Mumbai.
