OLATHE — Steven Paul ‘Steve’ Petty, 76, passed away Jan. 11, 2026, at Azria Health Olathe, Kan. He was born on Feb. 12, 1949, in Emporia, Kan., to Lindell B. and Katharine (Marbourg) Petty. Steve married Joette (Zimmerman) Krier on July 25, 1971; while they later divorced, their union was blessed with a son. On Nov. 28, 1986, he married Marilyn Bailey at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend. She passed on Dec. 6, 2025.
