MDMA Worth Rs 28 Lakh Seized in Nagaur, One Arrested

Police in Nagaur, Rajasthan, have seized 142.08 grams of MDMA, estimated to be worth around Rs 28 lakh, and arrested a drug trafficker identified as Asharam Gehlot alias Ashish. The accused was using his uncle's house as a storage facility for the drugs to evade detection. Authorities discovered the contraband during a raid based on specific intelligence. Gehlot is alleged to have been actively involved in synthetic drug trafficking in Nagaur city for a considerable period, supplying to local youth and college students. He reportedly used code words and WhatsApp calls for transactions to avoid call recordings. Investigations reveal Gehlot had previously faced multiple NDPS act cases in Nagaur and Didwana-Kuchaman districts for drug trafficking and assault. Police are now working to uncover the source of the MDMA and identify potential inter-state connections and major buyers.
