Luxury Car Rental Fraud Uncovered in Indore; 24 Vehicles Worth Rs 3 Crore Seized

Indore police have arrested an individual accused of a large-scale fraud involving luxury cars rented under false pretenses. The suspect, identified as Sanjay Kalra, allegedly rented high-end vehicles like Audis, XUVs, and Thars, and then pawned them off to obtain substantial sums of money. Authorities have recovered 24 luxury cars valued at approximately Rs 3 crore. More than 40 victims have come forward with complaints, and police anticipate further revelations as investigations continue. The modus operandi involved renting cars, paying rent for an initial period, and then evading owners when asked to return the vehicles. The accused targeted individuals not only in Indore but also in surrounding districts. Police are actively investigating to identify other potential accomplices and the network involved in pawning the stolen cars.
