Detained MP Amritpal Singh Moves High Court to Attend Parliament Session

The High Court is expected to hear his petition on January 22, with the government also likely to file a response. Previous requests by Singh for parole or permission to attend parliamentary proceedings have been rejected by authorities, citing potential threats to national security. Singh faces multiple serious charges, including police assault and arms trafficking, and is described as a Khalistan supporter, with the NSA being invoked against him in February 2023.
